    Multiplane Painting No. 5 made by the Disney Studio for the Courvoisier
    Gallery, San Francisco.
    8.75” X 8.25”.
    Early 40s w/orig label tears, chipping on frame.
    Lovely piece.  This series was made to show how the multiplane camera setup worked with different layers of animation cels creating the illusion of depth in the Disney animated films.  The same technique is used here with paintings on different panes of glass in a little plaster frame.
    EXC condition overall, with label on back Very scarce.
