Skylab was the first United States space station, launched by NASA and occupied by manned crews from May 1973 until February 1974. Skylab was operated by three astronaut crews, Skylab 2, Charles Conrad, Paul J. Weitz, Joseph Kerwin, Skylab 3, Alan L. Bean, Jack R. Lousma, Owen K. Garriott and Skylab 4, Gerald P. Carr, William R. Pogue, and Edward G. Gibson. While in orbit, crews conducted orbital workshops, a solar observatory, Earth observations and hundreds of experiments. Listed for auction is a commemorative cover from the personal collection of Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham signed by all [9] nine Skylab astronauts. The cover contains a Skylab cachet and is signed 1] Jerry Carr, 2] Ed Gibson, 3] Owen Garriott, 4] Bill Pogue, 5] Joe Kerwin, 6] Alan Bean, 7] Charles Conrad 8] Jack Lousma, 9] Paul Weitz. The cover is also signed by Walt Cunningham, postmarked Kennedy Space Center, FL May 14, 1973 [launch date] and is affixed with one U.S. postage stamp. The cover measures 6.50 x 3.75 inches and is in fine condition. The cover is also signed on the verso ''from my personal collection Walt Cunningham Apollo 7'' and will also be accompanied with a printed card acknowledging the cover is from his personal collection. It is a desirable space collectable, signed by all nine Skylab astronauts, from the personal collection of one of our Apollo astronauts.
