Pressbooks were sent only to theater owners to promote and advertise the movie and are  rare especially without cuts.This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room. When purchasing pressbooks, remember that many were stored in the basements and attics of theaters, and could be damp or marked. I have never added to my collection any pressbooks that were not in very good condition. Please note that these images were all scanned, so you have a perfect example of what you are getting, I don't believe in far away pictures where you cannot see the condition of the pages. Some pressbooks have thinner pages and the scanner with the very bright light often will pick up the print on the other side, so please keep that in mind when looking at the photos, this does not show when looking at the page and also the scanner may produce shadows or darker areas, mainly on the extreme sides of the pages, which are not there. Some scans were done in black and white but there will always be several in color, even though the pages are in black and white, to show the paper color.

Please note that almost all pressbooks from the 20'sthrough some from the 1960's may have a slightly darkened paper color due to years of sitting about and exposure to air. This is completely normal for magazines and other printed material from those eras. The scans have a hard time showing the paper color, if a particular pressbook has darkened more than average I will certainly say so in my description. Also please note that my pressbook descriptions are very precise, instead of just saying "there is some wear throughout," I believe in describing each issue if there are any. So while at times my description may have a list of issues, please note that many of them can be quite small that others might not feel worth mentioning. This is a collectible and I feel people should know everything down to an extremely small tear. Final note, scans are done in low resolution so please note that all graphics and ads are much clearer in the pressbook than on the scan, and because these are newspaper-ready images, you may see a pixelated image, this is due to the scanner and is not that way in the pressbook.

Pressbook has NEVER BEEN FOLDED (but the ad section has). This pressbook was coming apart at the binding so it has been stapled at the very edge  where there are small tears from the bottom to the top (on the very left edge) of the cover only. There are small mini-tears on the first 8 pages on the extreme right, they are all less than 1/6th of an inch and in the far border area, nowhere near the print except on the cover (see scan). The back page (the page that shows which poster were available) is missing. The ad section is in excellent shape except for a 1 l/2 inch tear on the right side at the fold (which affects all pages) so one must be careful when looking at this section not to tear it further, and there is a 1/2" tear to the ad section on the other side of the fold.. Overall almost all (except the back page) is here PLUS the rare ad section which opens up to 17" x 22". There is a small stain the size of less than a penny on a black area of the ad section. I only scanned the front of the ad section as it is somewhat delicate and I did not want to tear it further but there are many many great advertisements. The pages of the pressbook have slightly darkened due to age as this is over 70 years old).
THIS INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL NEWSPAPER HERALD that came with the pressbook, it has a fold but is in excellent condition(see scans 10 and 11).
This is an original (not copied) authentic piece of Hollywood memorabilia!  All pages are printed on a beautiful glossy paper.

ALL PRESSBOOKS ARE MAILED WITH A COLLECTABLE PLASTIC COVER (one for each if you buy more than one) AND IN A LARGE STURDY CARDBOARD AND ALL ARE MAILED UNFOLDED!!! This is why the shipping/materials cost is what it is. I've never had shipping damage with these mailers, which actually cost me .65 per shipment and you have a nice size-fitted plastic cover so your pressbook stays in top shape for years, these cost me $.75 each. We take very good care of these collectables. PLEASE NOTE THAT I NOW GIVE YOU A CHOICE OF MAILING SPEEDS. IF YOU SELECT MEDIA MAIL, YOU ARE WAITING UNTIL THE ITEM SHIPS THE FOLLOWING MONDAY (all items are shipping the Monday after the auction ends,,,see last paragraph) plus about 4-9 days in shipping. Priority is usually much quicker, but we still ship everything on Mondays. If you are not in a hurry, Media Mail saves you .00. Priority is not cheap with this size (unfolded) package. I do NOT believe in making a profit on postage. In most cases, including the protective cover and large cardboard size, I lose a few dollars on shipping.
ABOUT MY FEEDBACK:
Since Ebay does not allow sellers to respond to negative feedback, I will do so here. I have been on Ebay quite a long time. I have always been very fair with feedback and usually it is positive. My feedback was earned through alot of hard work trying my best to please my customers. You will note I have a few negatives now. You just can't please everybody. The feedback that I have received that is negative (3 out of about 1,000), one person never contacted me that they were sent a pressbook with a cut in it, I simply sent the wrong one. I certainly would have corrected the problem immediately if they had just told me. I replaced it immediately. The other 2 are from someone who misunderstood that I send my pressbooks out on Tuesdays and they go Media Mail, which was an additional 4-8 days. She expected them in a few days. I completely refunded her total postage (after the negative feedback) even though the items were sent as stated. If you have a problem, PLEASE contact me and I will do everything I can to correct an error. This is my personal promise.
