Pottery plate multi use artist signed

Description

This is a shallow plate or serving piece, white stoneware, glazed with a green cast and some blue around the rim area.  It was hand thrown on the potters wheel and glazed by the artist at his studio.  The artist is from NIU with a masters of art and fine art.  This piece was from a series of dishes that he created.  It is 9 1/2 in. across and 1 1/2 in deep.  It works well as a small serving dish, platter, or as a decorative tabletop piece.  Multi functional.  It is food safe and dishwasher safe.  It is also microwave safe, although it can get hot.  While it is safe in the oven, I would not suggest for baking because the iron in the glaze can get really hot to the touch.   It holds around 20 oz.
