Please note that all of our pressbook images are scanned directly from the pressbook up for auction. Direct scans allow you to see every detail, and that's very important with collectibles, which is why we chose to scan our images rather than photograph them, even though it does take significantly longer. This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room for many years in a non-smoking home with 2 Hepa air filters and in the summer 2 industrial dehumidifiers, each inside a protective bag. When scanning pressbooks, almost all of the images inside were printed to be "newspaper ready." To say it simply, newspapers use images with a small dotted look to make up a photo or advertisement, so while scanning them for viewing here, some images look like there may be light lines or other scan resulted issues on faces and other parts of an image, please note this is a result of scanning, the actual images do not have that effect. Finally, you may wonder why many of our scans (pictures of the product) state in pink letters "PHOTO FOR EBAY" or something similar over some of the images. I have discovered that there were people copying these images and enlarging them and making prints to sell. So to prevent this illegal activity, we are forced to put some print over some of the better images, they are not on the items themselves.

The pressbook has previously been partially folded, but flattened for many years. Partial fold meaning it was never pressed in half, more like a curved fold without a harsh line. For its age, this pressbook looks amazing. I am not even sure if it was paged through by any previous owner. The only issue is a slight fold on the left side of the book, from the top about a third of the way down, but you really have to look for it, I would say it will not be an issue for the future owner, its very minimal. Nice sharp corners, binding 100% intact. In wonderful condition, it would be difficult to find one in better condition!

Our shipping charge includes the pressbook mailed
securely. It also includes a plastic collectible sealed bag which you can use to store your pressbook. If you order more than one pressbook, each will come with the protective bag. We ship all packages first class mail, which normally will generally arrive 3-9 days after shipping, depending how close you are to Minnesota. International orders are shipped first class international, please note there is no tracking number available for this service, only a customs number. To get a tracking number, it must be shipped international priority, and the packages being so large can cost around .00 and up. We used to offer this service but no one used it so we dropped it due to the cost, however we will ship this method upon request and pre-payment of extra postage.

I have been a movie fan all of my life, my grandfather worked for both Universal and RKO, and my mother was an editor at Paramount. At age 8, I was taken to my grandfather's offices and saw piles of movie pressbooks stacked up. I caught the fever. I have collected since then when, at that visit, my grandfather gave me a copy of the pressbook for The Green Slime and a promotional can of actual green slime with the MGM label on it. Over the years, when I obtained a pressbook, it would immediately go into a plastic bag and was taped shut for protection. My father owned a furniture store which my grandfather opened in 1900, which I worked at for 10 years and the first thing and most important thing he taught me was about customer relations, to treasure each and every customer, so I am an old-fashioned seller who cares about each sale and your satisfaction, a "mom and pop" type store.
