Instructions
. Materials Needed:.  Joint compound.  Taping knife.  Open-mesh sand cloth or medium grit sandpaper.  Utility blade knife.  Damp sponge. Instructions.
1. Clean and sand surface.
2. Cut fabric and apply to damaged area, overlapping end of crack by 1 inch or more.
3. Apply joint compound, gently working it into the mesh. Feather edges outward. Let dry.
4. Smooth with damp sponge or sand lightly. Repeat steps 3 and 4 finishing coats.
