MY COLLECTION AND BRIEF PRESSBOOK HISTORY
Pressbooks were sent only to theater owners to promote and advertise the movie and so many are extremely rare especially without cuts. Please understand that pressbooks were made to be cut up by theater managers for promotion and to place advertisements in the newspapers, so uncut pressbooks may be hard to find on many titles, and many have been sold off now over the years since Ebay and other auction sites have been in business since the late 1990's. A pressbook with minimal cuts (most of ours are uncut) still has value due to their rareness.
This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room for many years in a non-smoking home with 2 Hepa air filters and in the summer a strong dehumidifier. Please note that these images were all scanned, so you have a perfect example of what you are getting.  Also, we strive to give you a most complete description of these items. We try to list every issue if there are any, instead of just saying "normal wear" or "slight use" or other general terms that really don't tell you what the "general" wear is. We want you to know, since these are collectibles, exactly the condition of the pressbook. There is nothing more accurate than a scan.
Please also note that when scanning pressbooks, almost all of the images inside them were printed to be "newspaper ready." Newspapers use a larger dot image to make up a photo or advertisement, so while scanning them for viewing here, some images look like there may be light lines or dots on faces and other parts of an image, please note this is a result of our scanning, the actual images inside them do not have that effect.
Finally, you may wonder why many of our scans (pictures of the product) state in pink letters "SCAN FOR EBAY" over some of the images. I have discovered that there were people copying these images and enlarging them and making prints to sell on auction web sites. So to prevent this illegal activity, we are forced to put some print over some of the better images, they are not on the items themselves.

Pressbook has NEVER BEEN FOLDED. The main issue is that both the front and back covers are missing. I purchased this over 30 years ago as it's always been an extremely rare pressbook and when it comes up for sale, it's always near 0-0. There are a couple of very small tears on the front page at the edges (2 or 3) that are in the border area, one of those tears which is about 1/2 inch affects all pages. But I can say that that tear on all pages is in the blank border area and does not affect any print.
28 pages are here (out of 32, which are the 4 pages of the front and back cover) and the inside pages have no cuts and aside from some light creasing are in great condition. The back page has one tear that is one inch (starting at the right near the top, so only a small part of that tear is on the print) and on the bottom right corner a small 1/2: tear. Some of the pages are loose at the binding about 1 l/2 inches on the bottom and the front and back pages about 3 inches on top, the front page about half way....so there is some slight wear and small tearing on the front and back pages, most of it not on any print.
This is a chance to own basically the complete pressbook minus the covers in pretty good condition, great graphics inside, without paying upwards of 500.00 for it. Huge size (13" x 19").
PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST OF THE PHOTOS FOR THIS AUCTION SHOW 2 PAGES IN EACH PHOTO as set out on an extra large format scanner! There is no better or accurate way to see what you are buying than with a direct scan!
This is an authentic piece of Hollywood movie memorabilia (not a copy) printed on a beautiful glossy paper.

ALL PRESSBOOKS ARE MAILED WITH A COLLECTIBLE PLASTIC COVER AND IN A LARGE STURDY CARDBOARD!!!  Shipping is always 1st class or if over a  certain weight, Priority mail. Please remember that the rates of the U.S. Postal service keep increasing, we have tried to keep costs as low as possible. The postal service will only send packages first class up to a certain weight, beyond that it movies to Priority shipping which costs about - per package as we use 16" x 20" cardboard sheets to be able to mail these to you unfolded. We charge .75 per package and we pay the additional cost which has been higher on about 80% of our packages. Included in this charge is not only quick mail service but also our special plastic protective covers for EACH pressbook you buy and the large sheets of cardboard that enable us to mail nearly all pressbooks UNFOLDED, no matter the size or if it has been previously folded. These items are collectible and will be treated as such. We NEVER jam the pressbooks in a box, tube or small package. Our international rate is .00. Should the package cost less you will receive a refund of the difference.
ABOUT MY FEEDBACK:
Since Ebay does not allow sellers to respond to negative feedback, I will do so here.   You will note I have a few negatives now.  Of the feedback that I have received that is negative , one received by mistake a pressbook that got mangled in the mail (our first time) and the buyer didn't even let me know but posted negative feedback. I would certainly have replacded his pressbook as I had 2 more in even better condition. One person never contacted me that they were sent a pressbook with a cut in it (by mistake). I certainly would have corrected the problem immediately if they had just told me. I replaced it immediately, after the negative feedback, which is the first time I learned of the problem. The other 2 are from someone who misunderstood that I send my pressbooks out on Tuesdays and they went, at the time, Media Mail, which is always an additional 4-8 days. I completely refunded her total postage (after the negative feedback) even though the items were sent as stated.

I have been a movie fan all of my life, my grandfather worked for both Universal and RKO, and my mother was an editor at Paramount. At age 8 I was taken to the offices and saw piles of movie pressbooks stacked up.  I loved the pressbooks as they had many pages of information of these movies and such great old movie advertising and could be read many times over. I have collected since I was 8. When I obtained a pressbook, it would immediately go into a plastic bag and was taped shut so no air reached these.  My father owned a furniture store which I worked in for 10 years and the first thing and most important thing he taught me was customer relations, to treasure each and every customer, so I am an old-fashioned seller who cares about each sale, a "mom and pop" type store.
