2 DIANE ARTWARE ART TILES, Kissing Lady Fish "Tina" and Guy Fish, Wall Art or Trivets
Each tile is signed in-print "diane" on the top. The backs have mfg and vendor labels hard to read. "Tina" labels read, "Wall Tile/Trivet-Flower Fish-blue 'Tina,' Diane Artware, Fine and Decorative Arts, Character Collectibles, Ontario, CA, Van Group." Each is marked "c 2001 C.C." on the edge.

With your creativity, these tiles could make many beautiful things - a nice framed wall-hanging; table top design; decorative and useful trivets; or with furniture pads on the bottom, could serve as functional coasters; ideas for use are endless.
There is a hole in the wood backings for hanging as wall art. No hardware or other display materials are part of this auction.
Glossy glazed tops sport bright colored stylized fish who, when placed side by side, appear to be kissing.
The colors are amazing, glossy and bright, with
tactile slip-trailed cobalt blue outlines.
The ceramic bodies are bright white; backgrounds are aqua and blue; design accent colors are bright red, orange, green and turquoise. Photos can't do justice to the beautiful colors.
Brushstrokes are visible in the glaze; designs appear to be handcrafted
The brown backings look like wood
Each measures 6" x 6" square and each is about 1/4" thick
Both tiles together weigh 1 pound, 4 ounces before packaging
Each is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or surface wear to note
There is some overall crazing and if there is any corner tip wear, it's very slight. Please see photos.
The labels on back are mostly folded or partially removed and there is some sticker residue on Tina's backing.
These have only been lightly cleaned for photos; any more thorough cleaning or polishing will be left to the winner.
