14" Sturgeon Fish Decoy - (Walleye Pattern) - a sturgeon body with walleye pattern (perfect for Lake Winnebago) by Andrew Luelloff. This decoy has a curved body for plenty of action. This decoy is a great swimmer and swims just slightly downward - a trick i learned from some of my other well known carving friends. It is in a Walleye pattern but yes, on a Sturgeon body - how creative! It large, unique and rare - the only one I have made to date. My thought process making this: Lake Winnebago has an abundance of Walleye and is one of only two places in the United States where Sturgeon Spearing is allowed. Sturgeon are very curious fish and this pattern is bound to lure one in! Copper fins give it plenty of flash in the water! Condition is "New".This is a beautiful and detailed working and/or collectible fish decoy. A lot of hours and energy have gone into it. The decoy is balanced and swim tested with 3 eye screws for use but is also gorgeous enough to put on the mantle, shelf or curio cabinet. The sturgeon has detailed gills, an anus and gill plate and is also nearly fully scaled giving it the resemblence of a Walleye. Copper fins and taxidermy eyes also make this fish. It is hand carved and hand painted by Andrew Luelloff. The artist has also branded his name into the decoy.
